Description

Invest in USC Students’ Professional Futures

Why This Matters

USC students work hard to earn their degrees, develop technical expertise, and prepare for meaningful careers. Yet as graduation approaches, many must compete for jobs while managing tuition, housing, and everyday expenses.

Professional credentials and engineering licensure can give students a meaningful advantage. They demonstrate technical readiness, leadership potential, and a commitment to professional growth—qualities employers value in new graduates. Credentials in engineering and project management can strengthen a résumé, build confidence, and help students enter the workforce better prepared.

Too often, qualified students postpone these exams until years after graduation, when the knowledge and study habits built in the classroom are no longer fresh. Work and family responsibilities can then make preparation even more difficult. Supporting students before graduation helps them take this important step at the moment it can have the greatest impact on their career launch.

The USC Career Credential Fund Project

The USC Career Credential Fund, led by the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Association (MEGA) in partnership with the Civil and Environmental Graduate Association (CEGA), will provide need-based exam-fee support for eligible USC students pursuing career-building engineering and project-management credentials.

Your Impact

Our goal is to raise $8,000 to help at least 20 USC students overcome exam-fee barriers, strengthen their qualifications, and graduate ready to compete, contribute, and lead.

Every gift helps turn a student’s hard work into a stronger start after graduation.
