Pack with Purpose: CPFI's Operation Christmas Child Campaign
Description
At the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) brings student pharmacists together through fellowship, mentorship, professional development, service, and outreach.
Our chapter is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect, grow, and make a positive difference in the communities they serve.
One of our most meaningful annual traditions is Operation Christmas Child, a global project organized by Samaritan's Purse that delivers shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other thoughtful necessities to children in need around the world.
Help Us Double Our Impact!
Last year, our CPFI chapter packed 50 shoeboxes for children in need.
This year, we're setting our sights on 100 boxes!
Through our annual Pack & Prepare event, CPFI members come together to thoughtfully assemble shoebox gifts while sharing fellowship, food, and meaningful time together.
This event has become our chapter's most attended annual service initiative and provides student pharmacists with an opportunity to make a difference beyond the classroom.
Each shoebox represents an opportunity to bring encouragement, joy, and practical gifts to a child.
Where Your Gift Goes
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help expand Operation Christmas Child and support meaningful opportunities for CPFI students throughout the year.
Donations will help provide:
Shoebox gifts: Toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other thoughtful necessities.
Packing and shipping: Materials, labels, and costs associated with preparing and sending the boxes.
Pack & Prepare event: Supplies and meals for the student volunteers who make the initiative possible.
Student fellowship and engagement: Opportunities for CPFI members to build meaningful connections and grow together.
Professional development: Experiences such as the CPFI National Student Retreat and Annual Meeting, where students connect with pharmacists and learn from professionals across the country.
We strive to spend approximately $10–$25 on the contents of each shoebox, with additional expenses for preparing and shipping the gifts.
Your support helps us expand our reach while strengthening the student experiences and service opportunities at the heart of CPFI.
More Than a Shoebox
Operation Christmas Child is more than a holiday service project for our chapter.
It brings students together around a shared purpose, strengthens fellowship, and encourages future pharmacists to carry a commitment to compassion and service into their professional lives.
Whether you're supporting one shoebox, helping provide supplies for the packing event, or investing in CPFI's broader student programming, your gift makes a meaningful difference.
Join us in packing with purpose and helping spread joy, one shoebox at a time!
