College of Social Work - Gas 2 Go!
College of Social Work - Gas 2 Go!
Every day students in the College of Social Work travel to field placements to provide critical services to individuals, families and communities in need. These placements are essential to their education - but the cost of travel can be a significant burden.
Field placements are often located far from campus, in rural and underserved areas, requiring students to drive daily commutes of 30 to 90 miles or more with no public transportation options available. Some even consider turning down ideal placements - or delaying graduation simply because they can’t afford the commute.
The Mileage Reimbursement Stipend helps cover these travel expenses, allowing students to focus on what matters most: learning and serving.
Your investment is more than a donation - it’s a commitment to education and to the future of social work. By easing the financial burden of travel, you empower students to focus on learning and giving back to the communities they serve.
