24 hours Left
We have just over 24 hours as we conclude our campaign debut, leaving us with scarcely enough time to make an enduring mark on the lives of the less-privileged denizens of the El Cedro Community. Your donation—no matter how little it seems—translates to lifetime access to safe drinking water for the residents of the community.
Every gift matters. Thank you.
We would like to thank all our sponsors who have donated to our organization thus far, especially some of our own engineering faculty who have supported us! Your generous support is greatly appreciated and is extremely valuable to the mission of Engineers Without Borders here at USC. Our chapter is entirely funded by our students’ fundraising efforts, so we rely heavily upon donations from sponsors.
As for our current project in Ecuador, our team is gearing up for our upcoming assessment trip to El Cedro in May. We recently completed our pre-assessment trip form required by EWB USA and spoke with our program engineer to get ready for this exciting new phase in our project! Some of the things our travel team will be doing while in Ecuador include more in-depth water quality testing, inspecting specific areas of concern along the pipeline and water treatment system, speaking with local residents about water practices in their community, and meeting with local government officials to discuss potential solutions.
We still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $7,000 for our trip! To those of you who have already donated, we know you have a vested interest in our organization and our mission, and ask you to please share this passion with friends and colleagues! Let’s send a message to the community of El Cedro that the Carolina community cares about them and supports them in their efforts to improve their lives. Again, thanks for your generous support of Engineers Without Borders at USC.
