Spread Care during Social Work Month

During Social Work Month (March) 2023, the College of Social Work invites alumni to join our continuous efforts to raise funds to support students and community. Our dedicated faculty, instructors and staff work tirelessly to prepare the next generation of social workers. While we know social work students work hard to advocate for others, they often will not do the same for themselves. They may have unmet needs and challenges and find asking for help embarrassing.

The College of Social Work does all it can to meet those challenges in a way that students are comfortable and unencumbered. Join our efforts to keep our food pantry stocked, provide refreshments for our part-time students and create global opportunities for social work learning.

Additionally, please consider supporting both our alumni outreach activities and community engagement efforts: diversity, equity and inclusion endeavors including the I. DeQuincey Newman Institute for Peace and Social Justice; and global exposure for our students.

Finally, we encourage cohorts to challenge each other to raise the most funds for their graduation year. Any amount representing your graduation year is greatly appreciated (i.e for 1985 graduates, $19.85, $198.50, $1,985). We will share the leading cohort on our alumni Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/152773371550095).

Please select a funding category to the right to help the College of Social Work make an impact and show that social work cares. Show you care by giving to what inspires you.
