Support the National Fellowship Finalist & Winners Support Fund in honor of Novella Beskid!

In celebration of Novella Beskid’s decades of service and dedication to the University of South Carolina, please consider making a gift to the National Fellowship Finalists and Winners Support Fund. During her career at the university, she created and built National Fellowships and Scholar Programs into a thriving team that has now seen 28 years of success. The office supported more than 1,300 Top Scholars, guided more than 4,600 Gamecock students through the national fellowships process and brought home almost 1,200 awards.

Through the national fellowships experience at UofSC, Novella ensures that life-changing experiences await for Gamecock students. They gain trusted faculty mentors, learn the ins and outs of creating a top-tier application and develop strong interview skills with support from our national fellowships team. And when this foundational experience comes together with our incredible students, it's often a catapult toward a Goldwater, Truman, Fulbright or one of the many more fellowships our students have won.

Many times, students face the challenge of figuring out how they'll afford the travel necessary to attend a fellowship final interview or travel abroad for the fellowship itself. And because we want to make sure that no student misses out on such a valuable opportunity, the National Fellowships and Scholar Programs office established a support fund for students in need.

Every contribution made to our crowdfunding campaign will go directly to our support fund so that we can provide financial support for a student's fellowships experience — specifically students whose fellowships would not be possible without the added funding. This is a tremendous opportunity to quite literally change a life, lend a hand and make a student's experience complete… all while celebrating Novella and her life’s work.
