At the beginning of fundraiser week, several members of WUSC's executive staff traveled to St. Louis, MO to attend College Broadcasters, Inc.'s annual conference. There they participated in sessions teaching DJs technical production skills, to sessions like leader training, and sessions on networking in the music industry. While there, they also got to explore the city and ride to the top of the famous Gateway Arch! Needless to say, they are now back with new and exciting ideas, and ready to get to work!
One of the reasons WUSC is able to participate in conferences like this is because of YOU! Your donations keep the station active on a national level, as DJs who attend these trips have their travel costs waived due to the generous donations the station receives. WUSC is also able to afford being registered with these groups due to fundraising so much. Getting to share these experiences with our listeners, and use the newly learned information to better the station is just another reason we are grateful for the support of all our listeners.
Back in Columbia, more WUSC DJs were at work hosting our concert that signaled the beginning of our Cybergarden Fundraiser Week. DJs and community members were treated to an electric show at Bone-In BBQ with Ahomari and DJ SIJI buzzing the night away. Thanks to everyone who came out!
That's all the updates for now. We're so grateful to have you following our process this Fall Fundraiser and can't to share with you what's next! Thanks to all who have donated so far, and we can't wait to keep sharing new content with you!
