Established in 1979, the Black Alumni Council (BAC) has encouraged black alumni of the University of South Carolina to be involved in all things Gamecock for almost 40 years. BAC also established the Richard T. Greener scholarship, named for the first Black faculty member at UofSC. This scholarship was the first endowment fund for Black students at the university. The Black Alumni Council is actively looking for ways to endow and award more black students with this honor. With just 8 short weeks, BAC is seeking your support to raise $20,000 to help more students attain a goal of higher education.
